It's been a while!

So, it has been a long time since I have posted anything on here, but honestly, I have been very busy with work and life that I haven't had much time. But, things are starting back on the right track, so I will try to update anyone interested in my crazy life.


I am going to be a Mimmy. Not a granny, or a maw maw, or a nana, or a me me, or any of those things. I didn't want to be called granny, and my daughter, the pregnant one, loves Hello Kitty. Evidently there is a character in Hello Kitty named Mimmy and she chose the name for me. My nickname for Brian is Pookie, and Misti, has decided that he will remain Pookie. So, Mimmy and Pookie are gonna be grandparents. I was a little unsure about this at first. She is not married, enrolled in college, and so is the daddy. They are working on their futures and this was definitely not planned. But, what's done is done, so time to deal with it.

After the shock wore off, and I accepted it, I am okay with it now. I am excited about being a Mimmy!

Their plans for the future are not clear at this time because they have not told his parents yet. His dad was laid off due to the economy recently and has a job interview next Thursday, April 16th. After the interview which they are sure he will get, then they will tell them. They don't want to put too much stress on his family and I can't pressure them to do so. But, I wish they would tell them so I could talk to his mom, Mrs. Kathy and start planning. The due date according to her cycle is Nov. 28th 2009. We have not went to the doctor yet, but I am sure when I do take her, the due date might change. Doctor appt. is in May.

Bless her heart, she has morning sickness all day long. Everything she eats makes her sick. She will be hungry, eat a few bites, and off to the bathroom. Hopefully that won't last too long. This is her 7th week of pregnancy and 3rd week of sickness.

I will update more when I have more information.

Please pray for her health, the baby's health, and my sanity.

Happy New Year to all my followers! Ha Ha. This is still very new for me and I have not told anyone about it.

I had a great New Years Eve with Pookie, (Brian), and for the first time in a very long time, I had a few "grown up" drinks. Brian agreed to be the driver while I partied with an old friend from back in the day. I had a really good time, got some sugar at midnight, and then we made it home safely.

I miss my babies from work, and I am looking foward to going back.

This is my son, Joe. He gave me a hard time in his younger years, but has grown into such a mature, well rounded young man. He is a good boy with a good heart.

This is my baby girl, Misti. She is my heart and soul. I love her more than she will ever know. I took this picture in out backyard. The flowers were growing over and through the fence from our neighbors.

This is my nephew, Little Steven. Steven Ladd Quick, Jr. This picture was also taken in color then converted to black and white. I brought the color back to the bubbles. This is one of his daddy's favorite pictures. I love it too. He is my little buddy.

This is my first blog ever, so please don't laugh as I'm sure I will be spending much time on here learning how to make it better and better.

My hobby is photography. I love taking pictures and I am always looking for that perfect shot in my everyday life. That beautiful sky, or the puppy asleep in the leaves, or the kid daydreaming, etc.

The girls in the picture are my cousins three girls. Bobbie Sue, Diane, and Christina. I took the photo in color, changed it black and white with photoshop, and then brought the color back to their matching T-shirts. They love this picture.
